Position Summary:

The Housing Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the housing portfolio within their designated region while leading a skilled team. This individual will collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Employee Housing to implement the Employee Housing strategy, ensuring alignment with our current and future operational needs. The Housing Manager will oversee all aspects of Employee Housing, fostering a safe, inclusive, vibrant, and affordable living environment that adheres to all regulatory standards. This role requires effective collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, employees, vendors, and community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the regional employee housing portfolio, including occupancy and budget management, facilities oversight, database software utilization, and performance tracking.
  • Develop and implement the Employee Housing strategy to meet the company's short- and long-term objectives, including data management, reporting, and strategic planning for regional operations.
  • Lead a high-performing team focused on value creation, engagement, and professional development, driving results that align with organizational goals.
  • Manage complex internal relationships and ensure effective communication with stakeholders, including local Housing Teams, leadership, and HR business partners.
  • Establish and monitor short- and long-term capital plans, ensuring successful execution of projects and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Deliver standardized best practices across the enterprise as a leader within the Enterprise Housing Team.
  • Train and support the Housing Team in providing exceptional customer service and effective conflict resolution.
  • Oversee wellness programming initiatives within Employee Housing, ensuring alignment with the company's vision.
  • Address high-level complaints or concerns within the region, providing resources and support for residents and the housing team.
  • Participate in the Housing Leadership Team to develop and implement standardized best practices that reflect enterprise-wide values and strategies.
  • Foster a safe, enjoyable, and diverse housing culture that enhances the employee experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • University or College Degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in capital project management or supporting large-scale project development.
  • At least 2 years' experience in housing or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in vendor and contract negotiations.
  • Experience in budget and revenue management.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience managing employees.
  • Experience working with remote teams is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in database management is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or French is a plus.
  • Proven ability in data management and analysis.
  • Experience in property management or a similar field is advantageous.
  • Ability to align stakeholders around a shared vision and make informed recommendations based on data and insights.
  • Experience with StarRez Housing is strongly preferred.
