Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Case Manager to join our team at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. The successful candidate will work with refugees who have experienced trauma related to combat, providing direct case management services and coordinating appointments and services to ensure they receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement trauma screening tools and provide direct case management services to refugees in the community.
  • Conduct home visits, intakes, and assessments of clients referred to the program.
  • Coordinate appointments and services, maintain case files and case notes for clients enrolled in the program.
  • Provide ongoing individual and group counseling, develop individual service plans, and conduct 30-day reviews and updates with client feedback.
  • Track client enrollment, outcomes, and interventions, and provide information in regular reports.
  • Work collaboratively with team members in the Wellness Program and resettlement agency to serve refugees with medical and behavioral health needs.
  • Ensure refugees are served in a linguistically and culturally appropriate manner and provide education and advocacy when necessary.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or equivalent; LSW or LPC preferred.
  • Experience in trauma-informed care and strengths-based case management preferred.
  • Ability to work as a team member and independently, with high self-motivation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot, and follow projects through without losing attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including keen listening ability and relationship building.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, clean driving record, and personal transportation.
  • Dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced people.
Training Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of USCRI's Orientation and Training.
  • Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources.
Physical Demands
  • Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
  • Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
