We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising, directing, and training laboratory staff in the performance of laboratory tests and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct laboratory staff in the performance of laboratory tests and procedures.
- Plan and conduct training sessions for laboratory personnel in various laboratory techniques.
- Oversee a program of quality control and review such program performed by subordinates.
- Participate in governmental proficiency test programs and prepare or oversee the preparation of laboratory samples for use in simulated and split sample proficiency testing.
- Licensed as a clinical laboratory technologist by the NYSED.
- Meet one of the qualification requirements of a laboratory supervisor as outlined in Title 10, Section of the New York Public Health Law.
