Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, direct, train, assign work to, establish schedules for work completion, and review and evaluate work performance of personnel in a large laboratory or more than one small laboratory.
- Perform tests and complex procedures in laboratory specialties and subspecialties.
- Plan and conduct training sessions for laboratory personnel in various laboratory techniques.
- Oversee a program of quality control and review such program performed by subordinates.
- Participate on an individual basis and as a laboratory supervisor in all governmental proficiency test programs.
Requirements:
- Valid license as a clinical laboratory technologist, cytotechnologist, or histotechnologist issued by the NYSED.
- Meet one of the qualification requirements of a laboratory supervisor as outlined in Title 10, Section 58-1.
