Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Construction Inspector to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed in accordance with contract documents and client standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of roadway construction projects to ensure compliance with contract documents and client standards.
  • Review and document contract quantities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide daily or weekly reports to project stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress.
  • Assist with and/or perform construction contract administration tasks, including review of payment applications, change orders, submittals, warranties, and other related tasks.
  • Act as liaison between client, contractor, residents, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Obtain as-built data and maintain redline markups throughout construction to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Assist project manager with conflict resolution throughout construction and provide support to office staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of construction contract administration and roadway inspection procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to ensure project completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts and ensure project compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with construction contract administration and roadway inspection procedures.
  • Knowledge of construction management software and systems.
  • Ability to obtain certifications and training as needed to perform job duties.
