Job Summary:

As a Land Development Engineering Inspector at G. L. Homes, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our residential and commercial developments. Your expertise in civil engineering and inspection will be instrumental in reviewing plans, conducting site inspections, and verifying that our projects meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Engineer of Record in reviewing development construction plans, subdivision plats, and other related documents.
Conduct on-site inspections and testing to ensure that work meets construction drawings, engineering design standards, and installation guidelines.
Coordinate and schedule required inspections with permitting agencies and verify that site grading, road alignment, and infrastructure work meet specifications.
Prepare and maintain permit logs, NPDES compliance logs, and associated reports.
Plan, direct, supervise, and evaluate the work of subcontractors engaged in testing and inspection of construction and repair of roadways and subdivision projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field, or a minimum of three years of experience in civil engineering inspection or construction.
Valid driver's license at the time of employment.
Knowledge of land surveying, land use, water and sewer systems, and other utility systems.
Ability to use good judgment, make independent decisions, and communicate engineering information effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain courteous and effective working relationships with employees, officials, and the public.
