Position Overview:
Zurich Insurance Company is seeking a skilled SAP Business Objects Administrator to deliver comprehensive support for the SAP Business Objects BI 4.2 and above suites.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Installation and configuration of BI 4.2 or higher in both virtualized and physical environments.
- Utilizing Tomcat or other Java web application servers.
- Establishing connectivity to various data sources, including Yellowbrick and SQL Server.
- Engaging with Crystal Reports, Universes, Web Intelligence, and SAP Dashboards.
- Participating in projects requiring expertise in Business Objects infrastructure.
- Collaborating with web development teams to test and deploy web configurations on Microsoft Windows and Apache platforms.
- Providing Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively.
- Communicating with stakeholders and managing dependencies with other IT systems.
- Coordinating with the security team to ensure server and website security.
- Managing user provisioning across production, testing, and development environments.
- Addressing access-related issues and reporting content-related problems.
- Deploying code changes from the development team.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (3 or 4 years) or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Natural Science, Botany, or a closely related field, along with 7 years of relevant experience in the role or similar positions such as Senior Programmer, Technology Architect, Technical Consultant, or BOE Administrator.
Additionally, candidates should have:
- 7 years of experience with Data Warehouse and BI reporting solutions, including end-to-end software development.
- 5 years of experience as a BOE Administrator in SAP Business Objects Enterprise version 4.2 or higher.
- 3 years of experience with:
- Azure Cloud environments.
- Windows OS and Linux OS application hosted environments.
- DB2, Postgres, and SQL Server databases.
- Reviewing and optimizing SQL queries for performance issues.
Additional Information:
Candidates must have specific experience working on at least two upgrades from the current SAP BOE version to a higher version. Certification in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.2 or above is required. Remote work options are available.
