Job Summary

DISH Network is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer - 5G Core to join our team. As a key member of our network engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying cutting-edge 5G core network solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement 5G core network architecture, including SMF, UPF, AMF, NRF, NSSF, PCF, UDM, AUSF, MME, SAEGW, SPGW, and ePDG.
  • Develop and maintain cloud native architecture, including microservices and containerization.
  • Implement DevOps and CI/CD methodology to ensure efficient deployment and testing of network solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendor personnel to set up new services and features, as well as upgrades.
  • Participate in the investigation of innovative 5G technologies to improve network virtualization infrastructure.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices, and assist in the development of these standards and best practices.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing, while staying abreast of new technology and technical areas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in job offered or as Systems Administrator working within the Wireless industry on either the carrier or vendor side of the house.
  • 4 years of work experience with/using the following:
    • Implementing, integrating, and deploying solutions in the EPC (Evolved Packet Core).
    • 5G core network design and implementation.
    • Cloud Native Architecture including microservices and containerization.
    • DevOps and CI/CD methodology.
    • 5G, CUPS, LTE.
    • HTTP, DNS, SRV6, TCP/IP, ICMP, and load balancing.
