Licensed Professional Counselor

Job Summary:
The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide quality behavioral health services and supports to the community. This position involves community-based work and requires evening hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to clients with mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Assist in the procurement of needs such as institutional placements, transportation, financial assistance, medical equipment, shelter, food, clothing, etc.
- Work closely with a licensed behavioral health professional or higher-level manager or administrator.
- Exercising supervision over social service counselors.
Requirements:
- Registration as either a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor or a Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the Louisiana Board of Licensed Professional Counselors.
- Close supervision from a licensed behavioral health professional or higher-level manager or administrator.
