Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with project team members, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Thoroughly review and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify potential issues and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites, including underground utilities, road, and bridge items, and report any discrepancies to the Project Engineer.
  • Implement and maintain QA/QC practices and procedures to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Verify that installed materials meet specifications and testing requirements.
  • Prepare and review daily inspector's reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Civil Technology is required; a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in construction/inspection, with a strong background in transportation and municipal projects.
  • Experience in bridge/roadway construction inspection is highly desirable.
  • Multiple MDOT certifications are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, Fieldbook, and Microsoft Office is essential.
