We are currently seeking a knowledgeable retail banking professional to join our team as a full-time Personal Banker. This role entails working 40 hours per week and is focused on delivering exceptional customer service in alignment with our sales and service standards.

In this position, Personal Bankers are responsible for processing a variety of transactions and customer services, with a strong emphasis on enhancing and deepening customer relationships by identifying sales opportunities. This role is pivotal in customer service and requires a comprehensive understanding of cross-departmental functions, along with the ability to generate a high volume of referrals to business partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates a comprehensive range of customer transactions and services, including explaining available products and gathering customer information for account processing.
  • Invests time in opening and managing customer accounts.
  • Takes ownership of customer inquiries or issues, ensuring effective resolution and satisfaction.
  • Possesses knowledge of basic business services, mortgages, treasury management, and investment services; effectively refers customers to the appropriate department for further assistance.
  • Engages in selling and cross-selling banking products and services through effective sales techniques, product knowledge, relationship building, and presentation skills.
  • May discuss, sell, and finalize consumer loan products.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on Online Banking services; identifies customers who could benefit from these offerings through consultation and education.
  • Consistently meets established standards for outstanding customer service; demonstrates engagement and curiosity about customer relationships.
  • Contributes significantly towards achieving branch goals in deposits, loans, referrals, and other performance metrics.
This position requires the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience in banking or retail.
  • Self-motivated with a proven aptitude for customer service and sales success.
  • Strong decision-making abilities with well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent active listening and communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to adapt tone and techniques to suit various audiences.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities; capable of multitasking.
  • Integrity and honesty in all interactions.
