Job Title: Principal Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • AI Architecture Leadership: Define and drive architectural decisions that will influence how other engineering teams at ZoomInfo incorporate AI into their work.
  • Innovation Catalyst: Stay current with the latest advancements and trends in AI and NLP, conducting research and experimentation to drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge.
  • AI-Powered Sales Revolution: Design, implement, and scale core systems and features to support thousands of customers, including our virtual SDR technology.
  • User Experience Crafting: Work with engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define strategy and set multi-quarter objectives and key results.
  • Performance Optimization: Establish and promote software engineering best practices, contribute to design and code reviews, and improve system observability and performance.

Your expertise spans an impressive array of modern programming languages (fluent in and TypeScript, or other backend languages like Java, C#, or Python), frameworks, debugging techniques, and test automation strategies. You navigate cloud technologies with finesse, feeling right at home with platforms like AWS, GCP/GKE, and tools like Datadog.
  • AI Enthusiast: You're genuinely passionate about AI – it's not just a trend for you, but a thrilling frontier you're eager to explore and leverage to its fullest potential.
  • Battle-Tested Leader: You bring 12+ years of rich experience in tech, including at least 5 years of successfully steering software development and QA teams to victory.
  • Data Expert: You orchestrate both SQL and NoSQL databases with skill and precision. Your experience with systems like BigQuery, Postgres, MongoDB, and Redis empowers you to craft elegant and efficient data solutions.
  • AI/NLP Pioneer: You're at the cutting edge of AI technologies, with hands-on experience in natural language processing, large language models, prompt engineering, LLM application development, and a solid grasp of embeddings & vector databases.
  • Team Builder: You have a proven track record of igniting talent and fueling the professional growth of team members, creating high-performing teams that exceed expectations.
  • Academic Foundation: You've built your expertise on a strong educational base with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or you've gained equivalent wisdom through industry experience.
