About the Role

The Packaging Technician will be responsible for safely and effectively preparing, filling, packaging and labeling our food safe cannabis oils, edibles, and liquids for ingestion, inhalation, solid dose and topical applications using an automated packaging machine.

This position will also be responsible for maintaining production and packaging equipment, ensuring compliance with Holistic Industries' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all applicable manufacturing procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and Manage Daily Lab Tasks with the Packaging Supervisor, ensuring seamless execution of production and packaging processes.
  • Operate the Automated Packaging Machine for filling edible and solid dose manufacturing, packaging, and labeling equipment, following manufacturer's instructions and Company SOPs.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation of all related data in tracking software, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare Plant Material for extraction, accurately documenting related data and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Fill, Package, and Label Products in compliance with Holistic SOPs and all applicable manufacturing procedures, using the Automated Packaging Machine.
  • Set Up, Break Down, and Sanitize Packaging Area as needed, in compliance with Company SOPs.
  • Assist with General Laboratory Tasks, including winterization, filtering, ethanol extraction, and rotary evaporation, as required.
  • Perform In-Process and Post-Process Sample Acquisitions according to protocols or batch records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support New Product Lines and Process Development as needed, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.
  • Clean and Sanitize Packaging and Laboratory Areas and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Troubleshoot the Automated Packaging Machine, as needed, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in Monitoring and Managing Related Processing Equipment Supplies and Inventory, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing waste.
  • Work in Other Areas of the Facility, including manufacturing, harvesting, and/or drying and weighing, as required, to support business needs.
  • Ensure Compliance and Accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Participate in Training Future New Team Members as necessary, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive team success.
About You

General Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain marijuana work credentials.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One (1) year of prior packaging and labeling experience is required.
  • Experience with a Paxium or other similar automated packaging machine is preferred.
  • Previous marijuana industry experience is preferred; experience in licensed facilities is strongly preferred.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time, e.g., operating filling and/or packing equipment.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications, and email.
  • Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all applicable policies and regulations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and dependability toward assigned tasks and duties.
  • Strong work ethic and sound judgment.
