Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between procedures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
- Provide education and training to new staff members and students, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- 2 years of experience in an operating room setting as a Surgical Technician.
- Successful completion of an accredited educational program for surgical technologists and certification as a surgical technologist accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team and other hospital staff.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
