Job Summary

The Laser Safety Officer is responsible for overseeing the laser safety program for DHR Health, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a safe working environment for staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement laser safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
  • Provide training and education to staff on laser safety protocols
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Investigate and report laser-related incidents
  • Collaborate with department heads to design and provide quality patient care and services
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing preferred
  • Current licensure in the State of Texas as a Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
  • Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
Experience
  • Six (6) years of professional nursing experience with proven progressive management experience and abilities preferably in procedural areas preferred
  • Demonstrates knowledge of operations and healthcare management; assures compliance with established Joint Commission Standards and state and federal laws and regulations
