We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team at Amazon Services LLC. As a key member of our analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our analytics strategy and driving multi-year roadmaps that align with our vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making through compelling narratives that seamlessly integrate data analysis, visualizations, and statistical insights.
  • Work with Product Managers to understand business requirements and implement solutions to support product plans.
  • Conduct ad hoc data analysis and data quality investigations.
  • Implement training and documentation solutions to enable stakeholders to get the most out of our self-serve analytics tools.
  • Develop and support analytical technologies that give our customers timely, flexible, and structured access to their data.
  • Define, develop, and maintain critical business and operational reports reviewed on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Analyze historical data to extract meaningful insights from large and complex data sets to identify trends and support decision making, including written and verbal presentation of results and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to implement analytics systems and data structures to support large-scale data analysis and delivery of machine learning models.
  • Understand Amazon's data resources, which to use, how, and when.
About the Team

We are a team of Data Engineers and Business Intelligence Engineers working on Amazon's scale 3P Ads measurement. We enable scientists, product managers, and economists to invent measurement techniques with high-quality data sets, metrics, and dashboards that enable them to build and evaluate ML models and roll out new measurement techniques at scale.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional or military experience
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
  • Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
