About the Role

The APX team is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer who is passionate about using data to drive critical business decisions for senior leadership. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be delivering data insights and deep diving novel questions to give our leaders access to data that is timely, accurate, and actionable.

In this role, you will be an independent Business Intelligence Engineer who can source data, cleanse, analyze, refine, enrich, model, present, automate and document our business data pipelines. You will always be on the lookout for ways to optimize the information flow process, stay on top of latest trends in data warehousing and be able to coordinate and work on multiple, related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build business intelligence (BI) solutions – data sets, queries, reports, dashboards, analyses – or components of larger solutions to answer business questions with data.
  • Create scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.
  • Understand the business at its core and use that understanding to generate various business insights.
  • Troubleshoot data, analyses, and code, research root causes, propose solutions, and take ownership in next steps for their resolutions.
  • Generate business review metrics and documents to inform business and HR leaders on progress to people-related goals.
  • Lead projects or components from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Field and resolve various ad hoc analytical needs for APX leaders.
