Job Overview

Position Summary:

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a CNC Machining Technician to effectively operate both manual and CNC machinery in accordance with production specifications to create small to medium-sized components. These components may serve as standalone products or as integral parts of larger assemblies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes manual machinery including saws, mills, and lathes.
  • Accurately positions components using various fastening tools.
  • Employs hand-held, electrical, and pneumatic tools as necessary.
  • Operates lifting equipment when required.
  • Utilizes precision measuring instruments as needed.
  • Identifies different material types and adjusts machinery accordingly.
  • Recognizes worn tools and performs necessary machine changes.
  • Confirms the accuracy of finished products through inspections.
  • Reports any defective materials or process issues to the Department Lead.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Completes all required documentation, including production sheets.
  • Operates CNC saws to cut raw materials to specified dimensions.
  • Changes saw blades based on material characteristics.
  • Ensures that work meets the requirements outlined in process documentation.
  • Assists in facility maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Operates industrial cleaning equipment and manages inventory of fluids and coolants.
  • Handles seasonal maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Utilizes forklifts for material handling and warehouse organization.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of machining principles and CNC operations.
  • Mechanical aptitude with a keen interest in CNC technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills for operational tasks and data entry.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork capability.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to safety and maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

  • This position involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to high places, fumes, and vibration. Hearing protection may be required in certain areas.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, and use hands and fingers. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
