Cadrex is seeking a Senior CNC Operator who will play a vital role in our production processes, tasked with the operation, programming, and upkeep of CNC machinery.
This role demands extensive expertise in CNC operations, including intricate setups, programming, troubleshooting, and quality assurance. Your skills will enhance the effectiveness and accuracy of our manufacturing workflows.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC programs tailored for specific components and production needs. Proficiency in G-code and CAM software is crucial.
2. Operate CNC machines to manufacture components, vigilantly overseeing machining operations and making immediate adjustments for peak performance and quality.
3. Conduct thorough quality inspections utilizing precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to ensure part dimensions and quality align with specifications.
4. Execute routine and preventive maintenance on CNC machines. Diagnose machine issues and apply corrective measures to minimize downtime.
5. Collaborate with CNC programmers, engineers, and production teams to refine machining processes, decrease cycle times, and boost efficiency.
6. Manage tool changes, offsets, and life monitoring to guarantee consistent and high-quality machining outcomes.
7. Strictly follow safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
8. Accurately document and maintain production records, including part counts, machine logs, and quality control data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience as a CNC Operator, focusing on complex CNC machining tasks.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming using G-code and CAM software.
- Experience with various CNC machines and controls.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot machining challenges.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality components.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
