Balazs Nanoanalysis, a subsidiary of Air Liquide Electronics, stands as a global leader in delivering gases, specialty chemicals, and services across various industries. Operating analytical laboratories worldwide, we cater to both internal and external clients in sectors such as semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense, solar energy, automotive, and more. Our team of highly-skilled chemists collaborates with scientists and engineers to support a broad spectrum of activities, including quality assurance, contamination analysis, research and development, and failure investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all facilities are operated and maintained in a cost-effective, reliable, and safe manner.
- Act as the primary contact for facility security concerns and manage the site emergency response plan.
- Adhere to all Air Liquide and regulatory safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance among contractors.
- Complete all necessary permitting documentation for facility-related work.
- Oversee the management of change (MOC) process for facility projects as required.
- Ensure the safe and compliant execution of all facility-related initiatives.
- Fulfill and maintain all on-premise customer requirements in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate activities with the facility manager of adjacent Air Liquide sites as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive infrastructure and compliance documentation, including building schematics and specifications.
- Develop and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with established ISO, OSHA, fire department, building, and electrical codes.
- Participate actively in facility audits, including internal Air Liquide assessments and external regulatory inspections.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential hazards, report findings to management, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Establish and execute preventive maintenance programs for all facility equipment.
- Manage both scheduled and unscheduled repairs, preventive maintenance, and calibration through an electronic maintenance management system.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement to minimize equipment downtime and enhance energy efficiency, thereby reducing operational costs.
- Generate reports on facility and instrument-related non-conformances, discrepancies, corrective actions, incident reports, and near misses.
- Collaborate with all laboratory departments to identify and prioritize facility-related projects.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for facility work and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Work with Facility Support Services (FSS) to identify and qualify new facility vendors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
- Facility Management or AFE certification, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management or coordination, focusing on technical operations, health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Hands-on experience with facility system operations, including equipment preventive maintenance, calibration, planning, and regulatory compliance.
- Project management experience encompassing scheduling, budgeting, and oversight of contractors and vendors.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience in clean room and ultra-pure water (UPW) system maintenance.
- General construction experience, including proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Ability to adapt and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Capability to perform under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability for off-hours work, including weekends.
- Six Sigma Lean expertise at the Green Belt level is preferred.
Compensation: The salary range for this position in California is $105,000.00 to $115,000.00.
