Job Overview

Elmet Technologies LLC is a prominent manufacturer specializing in high-performance metals such as tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, and niobium. We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Grinder Machine Technician at our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze machining tasks by reviewing work orders and blueprints, while interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Prepare the feed mechanism by positioning metal stock appropriately.
  • Operate cranes for the loading and unloading of materials.
  • Extract finished components from machinery or work surfaces using hand tools, and organize them into containers.
  • Ensure the quality of completed components through inspection, comparing them against templates, measuring dimensions, or testing in operational machinery.
  • Complete necessary inspection documentation as required.
  • Utilize solvents for cleaning surfaces effectively.
  • Change grinding wheels as necessary to uphold quality standards.
  • Perform minor maintenance on grinders and related equipment as needed.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with significant repairs or breakdowns of equipment.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Guarantee consistent product quality through established production methods and comprehend the impact of process variables on the final output.
  • Propose enhancements to safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills (decimals, percentages) are essential for job functions.
  • Familiarity with basic measuring tools (micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators) and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Capability to operate forklifts, suction and mechanical lifts, and air tools is necessary for material processing.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required.
  • This position must be filled by a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to business needs and trade compliance requirements.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift/move over 50 pounds. The role involves coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously and working in a factory setting where temperatures may vary.
