Job Overview

Position: Logistics Support Specialist

Employment Type: Temp to Hire

Compensation: $19 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1st shift, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime is infrequent.

Requirements: Background check and drug screening are mandatory.

Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.


Key Responsibilities:

- This role involves a variety of tasks including:

  • Receiving and organizing inventory: Unloading and storing incoming products, checking for damages, and ensuring accuracy against invoices.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately sorting, labeling, and storing items to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Issuing Supplies: Distributing tools and equipment to staff while maintaining precise records of issued and returned items.
  • Data Entry: Updating stock records in a computerized system and responding to inventory inquiries.
  • Cycle Counting: Conducting regular inventory checks and preparing reports on stock levels.
  • Tool Inspection: Checking tools and equipment for defects and reporting any issues to supervisors.
  • Assisting with Logistics: Delivering tools to work locations and helping locate lost equipment.
  • General Duties: Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 months of relevant experience or training. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.

- Candidates should possess:

  • Experience in warehouse operations including loading, unloading, and inventory management.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety protocols and operational instructions.
  • Basic computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office and other software being advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical skills for inventory calculations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with self-motivation to achieve goals.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on safety.

Work Environment:

- The role may require the use of personal protective equipment and passing equipment certifications.

- Work shifts may vary, and overtime may be necessary based on operational needs.

- Physical demands include lifting up to 25 lbs or more with assistance, standing, walking, and other physical activities.
