Position Overview
The Environmental Services Technician II is responsible for executing daily sanitation tasks across various areas, including resident apartments, assisted living units, skilled nursing facilities, communal spaces, restrooms, offices, and clinical environments, adhering to the established protocols of the Housekeeping Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Dusting horizontal surfaces and emptying waste receptacles.
- Removing trash, re-lining wastebaskets, and utilizing damp wipes to clean all furniture.
- Polishing metal and porcelain fixtures in bathrooms, mopping, and sanitizing floors in rooms and offices, along with spot cleaning walls and windows.
- Replenishing supplies in rooms, vacuuming carpets, and performing spot cleaning as necessary.
- Changing bed linens, replacing bathroom towels, sorting and distributing linens, and transporting soiled linens to the designated collection area.
- Dusting and wet mopping floors, scrubbing, buffing, and sanitizing floors in various areas.
- Maintaining assigned cleaning equipment in a sanitary condition and recommending repairs when required.
- Carrying out additional cleaning tasks as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Post-training, candidates must exhibit proficiency in the proper use of supplies, tools, and equipment. The ability to perform well under pressure while managing multiple, sometimes conflicting deadlines is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a cooperative attitude towards staff, colleagues, and supervisors.
Education and Qualifications
A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
