Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine department, you will be responsible for performing routine and advanced PET/CT procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patient illnesses and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform PET/CT procedures with precision and accuracy, utilizing advanced imaging technology to capture high-quality images.
  • Screen patients for any precautions or contraindications related to the examination, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Adjust scan parameters as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Perform daily quality control procedures on specified equipment to ensure correct and accurate operation.
  • Assess, prepare, record, and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to Nuclear Regulatory Commission and state regulations.
  • Travel to various medical facilities on a mobile route, providing imaging services to patients in need.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
  • Drivers License obtained prior to hire date required.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine certification from NMTCB or ARRT required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Nuc Med Tech (CMNT) certification.
  • PET/CT experience.
