Job Summary:

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking an experienced Senior Radar Algorithm Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Sensors & Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL), you will be responsible for developing and supporting state-of-the-art algorithms involving data fusion, sensor fusion, machine learning, and genetic programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute algorithm tests, providing oversight to others
  • Lead algorithm design discussions for entire studies
  • Architect overall algorithms with detailed system and integration considerations
  • Lead technical report execution and provide oversight to others
  • Lead discussions with sponsors for large portions of research
  • Conduct literature searches for finding new avenues of thought and bodies of work to explore

Requirements:

  • Possess significant expertise in linear algebra and stochastic processes, particularly in techniques applicable to non-linear estimation problems
  • Specific experience with implementations such as Extended and Unscented Kalman Filters
  • Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in multiple frame trackers, such as Multiple Hypothesis Trackers
  • Experience in radar resource management and knowledge of closed-loop radar systems

Education and Length of Experience:

  • 9 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineer, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace or related fields
  • 7 years of related experience with a Masters' degree in Electrical Engineer, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace or related fields
  • 4 years of related experience with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineer, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace or related fields

U.S. Citizenship Requirements:

Candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens.

Clearance Type Required:

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
