Senior Software Security Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Security Engineer to join our team at Oracle Defunct. As a key member of our Security Tools organization, you will play a critical role in advancing the state-of-the-art for developers through Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and integrate analysis support in our SAST tool for various languages, including Objective-C, C/C++, Java, Python, and Go.
  • Collaborate with engineers based in Australia, Canada, and the United States to further develop and enhance our static code analysis tool.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of dataflow algorithms and other static analysis techniques.
  • Create new checkers to support new types of security vulnerabilities and expand and refine the capabilities of our existing checkers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of programming experience, with excellent skills in C++ and/or Java.
  • Experience in program analysis, compilers, or web application security.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with good communication skills and fluent English.

Nice to Have:

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Programming experience in Objective-C, Go, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Understanding of the iOS build process.
  • Experience with LLVM.
  • Understanding and appreciation of software application security.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
