RN - Clinical Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Leader. This role will be responsible for maintaining standards of professional nursing practice and creating positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient condition on admission and on an ongoing basis to identify physical, behavioral, psychological, developmental, and age-related factors.
- Plan, provide, and document patient and/or significant other education based on identified barriers to learning.
- Evaluate and regularly reevaluate patient care, coordinating care planning with patients, families, providers, and other disciplines to achieve patient-centered outcomes.
- Assign and delegate nursing care to team members in accordance with patient needs and team member capabilities.
- Apply safety principles when performing care and accurately document observations, care provided, and changes in care plan.
- Current Alabama RN license required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider training required.
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training required within the first 6-12 months of employment in role.
- AHA Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) training required within the first months of employment in role.
- Professional Nursing Certification preferred.
- Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
This role will require working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with possible exposure to human body fluids, disease, infection, lab chemicals, and hazardous materials. The ability to work in groups, communicate clearly and accurately, and perform structured and unstructured work is essential.
Physical DemandsThis role will require medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, sit, and stoop is also required.
