Position Overview

This position will strategically oversee and support designated expenditure categories while engaging in activities such as opportunity identification, cost optimization, process enhancement, sourcing, competitive bidding, negotiation, contracting, and vendor oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver analytical support for identifying procurement initiatives aimed at cost savings, process enhancements, and improved supplier performance, assisting both the Senior and Procurement Manager as well as managing individual projects.
  • Formulate and implement category and vendor strategies to achieve financial and service objectives pertinent to the assigned categories.
  • Lead or assist in competitive bidding processes, including proposal assessment, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Conduct negotiations to achieve the goals outlined in the sourcing strategies, ensuring optimal utilization of organizational spending power while securing engagement and support from senior stakeholders across finance, legal, HR, and operations.
  • Establish relevant metrics and KPIs to ensure project goals are met, supporting service and contractual management of specific contracts and relationships.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Experience managing the RFx process.
  • Project or product management experience.
  • Familiarity with procurement best practices and a proven track record in managing related expenditures in a corporate setting is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across all employee levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capability to manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting objectives and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication and facilitation abilities.
  • Aptitude for thriving in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented: Capable of producing accurate, professional, and error-free analyses promptly.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, build trust, and maintain credibility across all organizational levels.
