Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Director for the Center for Women in Technology (CWIT) to collaborate with our team in providing support and programming for students. This role involves promoting, managing, and expanding our programs; planning and implementing events and programs focused on scholars and affiliates; overseeing mentoring programs; co-teaching our first-year UNIV 101 course; and providing one-on-one support to our student community.

CWIT was established at UMBC in 1998 with the goal of increasing the presence of women and underrepresented communities in technology fields. We believe that diverse perspectives are essential for achieving excellence and are committed to providing global leadership in attracting students from all backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Oversee mentoring programs to support students' academic and professional development.
- Plan and implement programs and events that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Co-teach UNIV 101 to first-year students, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and social responsibility.
- Serve as the point of contact for one of our Scholars programs, providing guidance and support to students.
- Communicate effectively with scholars, affiliates, and campus partners to ensure seamless program delivery.
- Record and analyze data to inform program development and improvement.
- Coordinate with campus and external partners to enhance program visibility and impact.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, addressing their concerns and needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, higher education, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in student support or programming, preferably in higher education.
- Proven track record of event management, mentoring, coaching, teaching, and/or administration.
Benefits
- $72,000 - $81,000 salary range, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Generous leave package, including 22 days of annual leave, 15 days of sick leave, 15 holidays, and three personal days.

About the Position
This is a full-time contractual staff position, with a one-year contract term and the option to renew. The successful candidate will be an exempt employee, eligible for benefits.
