ResponsibilitiesThe Paramedic Technician is accountable for evaluating and providing basic management of medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under the guidance of the nursing staff and/or physician. This role involves assisting with patient care tailored to individual needs within the defined scope of practice, contributing to the maintenance of a safe environment, and operating under the direction and supervision of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience is required for new hires. Basic EMT Training or Emergency Room experience is mandatory. 3. Current BLS certification is required upon hire and must be maintained.
Facility Specific Requirements (may include the following):
1. Current ACLS certification is required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained. 2. Current PALS certification is required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained. 3. Certification/Licensure as an EMT by the state certifying agency/entity is required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which encompasses estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, ranges from $17.82 to $24.49. The precise starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering a variety of factors including skillset, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
