This role is integral to the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, tasked with delivering insights into the operational and financial performance of the organization. The successful candidate will analyze results against budget, forecasts, and historical data to inform company leadership.
This position will also serve as a thought leader, focusing on enhancing the finance function's contribution to the organization.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the annual and quarterly planning and forecasting processes, ensuring effective coordination and consolidation of the company's income statement.
Work collaboratively with cross-departmental teams to foster relationships with essential stakeholders, including business unit and enterprise leadership.
Oversee the creation of actionable reports in partnership with business units, which includes generating reports for monthly variance analysis of actual results against budget and addressing inquiries from business units.
Utilize PeopleSoft/Hyperion to manage the report inventory, continuously improving quality and efficiency by coordinating with all report users.
Assist finance business partners by providing necessary data to track and analyze monthly budget variances.Proactively enhance the translation of accounting data into finance applications.
Lead initiatives aimed at refining financial strategies to facilitate informed business decision-making.
Design, maintain, and enhance forecasting models for current and future fiscal years, including user-based testing.
Conduct competitive financial statement and annual report research to benchmark financial performance metrics and indicators.
Provide analytical support for the development of the company’s strategic plan.
Perform ad hoc expense analyses to deliver insights that will influence expense management practices.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a full-time financial or analytical role, with a solid understanding of the interplay between finance and accounting in a corporate setting.
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with proven problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and a curious mindset, coupled with effective decision-making capabilities. A collaborative spirit and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships across all levels of the organization are essential.Demonstrated leadership skills with the capacity to drive projects from conception to completion and act as a change agent are crucial.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is required.Preferred Skills:
Experience with Hyperion planning applications.
Interest in PeopleSoft/back-end development.
Strong foundation in accounting and finance.
Ability to think outside conventional routines.
A passion for acquiring new skills and adapting in a dynamic environment.
