Compensation:
Hourly rate of $33.70.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Vehicle Maintenance Specialist include ensuring high-quality mechanical repairs and maintenance work, in accordance with their certification level. Responsibilities encompass preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and roadwork as necessary. The goal is to maintain a safe and efficient shop environment while providing support to field personnel and supervisors. Basic hand tools are required for this position.
Essential Duties:
The Vehicle Maintenance Specialist may be tasked with various responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Assisting the Fleet Manager with daily fleet maintenance tasks.
- Coordinating with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with state and local vehicle requirements.
- Conducting evaluations of new products.
- Providing training and guidance to junior mechanics.
- Collaborating with the Mechanic Manager to uphold service standards.
- Addressing inquiries from field personnel and investigating service complaints.
- Managing inventory control.
Additional Responsibilities:
Additional tasks may include:
- Completing necessary forms and reports.
- Requesting supplies needed for departmental tasks.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the Mechanic Manager.
Qualifications:

Education Requirements:
Candidates must possess:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- ASE Certifications.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include:
Regularly standing, walking, sitting, using hands for tools, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color recognition, and depth perception.
