Responsibilities
  • Provide focused assessment and care to patients in the Operating Room setting, utilizing sound nursing judgment and UPMC LPN Practice Guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, using evidence-based practices and national professional organization guidelines.
  • Document patient care and progress accurately and thoroughly, promoting clear communication among caregivers.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, demonstrating accountability, enthusiasm, and commitment to patient care.
Requirements
  • Successful graduation from a Licensed Practical Nursing Program approved by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Current LPN licensure in the state where practicing or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
