About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Buchanan Logistics. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in generating growth by engaging in lead generation, qualifying prospects, and securing contracted freight opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and record daily CRM activities to nurture leads and drive sales opportunities.
  • Utilize lead generation tools to identify and research businesses that align with our ideal client profile.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities by strategically optimizing revenue and gross profit for each customer assigned in CRM.
  • Maintain accurate contact lists in CRM and manage correspondence to ensure prospects receive timely and relevant communications from Buchanan.
  • Coordinate RFPs and credit requests for new customers to facilitate smooth onboarding.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers/Site Directors to develop quotations and ensure seamless hand-off of customers, fostering strong client relationships.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management abilities with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • A proactive attitude towards pursuing new clients and closing new business.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
