Job Title: Phlebotomist

At Steward Health Care, we are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Odessa Regional Medical Center.

About the Position:

This is a full-time opportunity that requires the collection of patient samples, performing venipunctures and skin punctures, and participating in Performance Improvement activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect patient samples and perform venipunctures and skin punctures
  • Under direct supervision, perform specified lab tests in Microbiology, Hematology, and Urinalysis
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Eighty hours of training in the proper procedure for venipuncture and skin punctures
  • Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification
  • BLS (American Heart Association CPR) Certification within 90 days of hire
