We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Labcorp in Boston, MA. As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the AP Grossing department, ensuring laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and train laboratory personnel to ensure accurate and efficient test results
- Monitor daily workflow and schedule adequate assay coverage to meet laboratory demands
- Perform technical duties related to the grossing department, including bench work and quality control
- Directly supervise and mentor laboratory personnel to ensure compliance with state and Federal regulations
- Research and resolve production errors, escalating when necessary
- Engage in continuous process and service level improvements to enhance laboratory operations
- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory requirements
- Master's degree and ASCP certification as a Pathologists Assistant preferred
- 5+ years of experience in grossing small biopsies and complex surgical cases
- Previous supervisor/leadership experience is highly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulations
- Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
