  • Implement Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) guidelines, including Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Concepts (SFFAC) and Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS).
  • Utilize Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in daily operations.
  • Ensure adherence to the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR).
  • Conduct advanced accounting functions while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data meticulously and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
  • Assist in the formulation and upkeep of financial policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to relay financial information to stakeholders.
  • Employ Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for thorough financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of professional accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of FASAB, FASB GAAP, and DoD FMR.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Required).
  • Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (Required).

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Required).
  • Additional certifications such as CDFM, CGFM, CIA, and/or CISA are advantageous.
