Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us build a scalable operating platform. As a Data Engineer, you will design, manage, optimize, and secure database systems, ensuring high availability and performance for both transactional and analytical workloads.

You will also design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and analysis across various sources. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and software engineers to define data requirements and develop data models that meet business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, manage, optimize, and secure database systems, ensuring high availability and performance for both transactional and analytical workloads.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and analysis across various sources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and software engineers to define data requirements and develop data models that meet business needs.
  • Monitor database performance, implement backup and recovery strategies, and troubleshoot database-related issues.
  • Attain a high re-use of technology while driving process standardization and simplification.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with implementing data warehousing solutions.
  • Expert in SQL and relational databases, as well as NoSQL databases.
  • Strong experience with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques and best practices for data governance.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to assess requirements and design the appropriate architecture for the solution.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong track record in managing concurrent tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, changing, demanding environment with quality results.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assist with problem solving and business rule definition.
  • Handles ambiguity without losing focus and can perform with minimal direction.
