Healthcare Service Coordinator

Position Overview:
As a vital member of our team, the Patient Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our patients. This position involves managing the check-in and checkout processes with efficiency and care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warmly welcome patients, clients, and visitors upon their arrival to the practice.
2. Professionally handle phone inquiries and provide timely responses.
3. Schedule patient appointments effectively.
4. Collect and verify patient and insurance details.
5. Accurately enter patient demographics into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring completeness.
6. Confirm vision and medical insurance details and input them into the EMR.
7. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of various insurance plans and relay this information to patients.
8. Review schedules to ensure insurance eligibility before patient visits and ensure all files are organized.
9. Prepare and submit insurance claims while running reports to verify all charges are processed.
10. Print and organize necessary forms for patient visits.
11. Collect and document all payments, co-pays, and charges within the EMR.
12. Allocate balances to insurance as required.
13. Keep a tidy workspace at all times.
14. Utilize time, equipment, and supplies efficiently.
15. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and practice information.
Physical Requirements:
This role necessitates effective communication, the use of necessary equipment, and mobility within the office environment.
