Responsibilities:
Production of new business
Meeting annual sales goals with a focus on mid-market opportunities
Cross-selling other Univest lines of business, including banking and investments
Developing relationships with centers of influence and community leaders
Maintaining a prospect database and conducting regular outreach
Presenting insurance capabilities and closing sales
Assisting with the transfer of business ownership
Maintaining production reports and attending sales meetings as required
Retention of existing business
Maintaining relationships with existing clients and serving as primary contact/team lead
Negotiating with carriers at renewal
Creating renewal presentations and leading renewal meetings alongside the account management team
Providing strategic direction for accounts
Working with the account management team on wellness initiatives, compliance, and employee education
Adhering to established workflows and supporting the account management team
Miscellaneous responsibilities, including supporting the practice leader in developing and maintaining carrier relationships and participating in team selling situations
Qualifications:
Consultative selling skills
Advanced knowledge of all benefit lines of insurance coverage, products, and services
Working knowledge of the Mid-Atlantic region preferred
Minimum of 7+ years of employee benefits industry experience
Proficiency in both fully insured and self-funded contracts
Leadership skills
Professional appearance and a positive attitude
Proficiency in Microsoft products and Salesforce
Licensed in life and health
