Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the electrical portion of industrial construction projects, including tracking schedules, managing budgets, and estimating jobs.
  • Work closely with superintendents and foremen in the field and interface with clients, including attending construction meetings and communicating with crews.
  • Responsible for writing proposals, material orders, equipment deliveries, and distribution of project-specific documents.
  • Manage and coordinate with clients, superintendents, and foremen to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including the National Electrical Code.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, superintendents, and foremen to ensure project success.

Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years of experience in industrial electrical construction/installation.
  • Good understanding of the National Electrical Code.
  • Ability to read and understand construction specifications and detailed drawings.
  • Computer proficiency with MS applications, including MS Project.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling.
  • Strong customer interface and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate with crews in the field, including union employees.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Knowledgeable in electrical applications in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with estimating software, such as Accubid or McCormick (preferred).
  • Estimating experience (preferred).

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to walk throughout a large manufacturing plant for required meetings and other required duties.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle report (MVR) according to company and client policies.
