Job Description

**Job Summary**

Unified Protective Services Inc. is a professional security services company providing comprehensive security solutions for commercial, residential, and industrial clients throughout California.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Officer Position to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional security services to our clients, ensuring their safety and security at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, accidents, and fires.
  • Conduct regular foot patrols to monitor activities and ensure the security of the premises.
  • Monitor activities and respond promptly to any security breaches or incidents.
  • Perform wellness checks and access control duties as required.
  • Provide safety escorts and use provided communication devices to stay in touch with colleagues and management.
  • Represent Unified Protective Services Inc. in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Properly wear the issued uniform and maintain a high level of personal grooming and hygiene.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure the safety and security of our clients.
  • Provide friendly and professional services to customers, employees, and visitors.
  • Observe for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situations on-site.
  • Perform other duties as described in Post Orders.

Requirements:

  • Must have an active guard card.
  • A valid ID or driver's license.
  • A valid Firearm Permit.
  • Baton & Pepper Gel permits are a plus.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Honesty and Integrity.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours, including swing, graveyard, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to react appropriately in high-stress situations.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Provide Proof of Purchase of owned weapon.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of guard experience preferred.
  • Law enforcement (P.O.S.T Certification) and/or military experience with an honorable discharge (DD214).
  • Knowledge of security protocols and equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols.
  • Able to stand 8-12 hours a day.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally).
