Job Description

Parker Hannifin Corporation Parker Aerospace Group is seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician to join our team. As an Automation Technician, you will provide technical support to our automation engineers to design, build, and test automation equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and administrative support to automation engineering, including data collection and data entry.
  • Assist with the review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Review, revise, and draft standard operating procedures, including work instructions and process documents.
  • Train operators and other employees on new equipment and/or new processes.
  • Troubleshoot automation equipment prior to and during production.
  • Assemble and troubleshoot electrical control systems used in automated machinery.
  • Manage workflow of 3D printers.
Qualifications and Desired Skills, Experience & Abilities:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; preferred Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing/technical experience required; preferably in a technician capacity.
  • Strong statistical, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Technical writing experience (SOPs, work instructions, safety documents).
  • Proficient in MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred:
  • Experience with PLCs and programming.
  • 3D CAD modeling and 3D printing experience.
