Certified Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincents St. Johns. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and solutions, as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
- Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
- Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
- Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
