Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Brookdale Southfield. As a key member of our financial leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the community's budget and financial operations, ensuring that we maintain our high standards of financial management and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and leadership, with a proven track record of success in managing financial operations, forecasting, and budgeting. You will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, managing cash flow, and ensuring that our financial systems are accurate and compliant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the community's budget and financial operations, ensuring that we maintain our high standards of financial management and compliance.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Manage and supervise the Business Office staff, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure that our financial systems are accurate and compliant, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve financial performance, including cost reduction initiatives and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations and sales, to ensure that our financial goals are aligned with our overall business objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, including experience in forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Proven track record of success in managing financial operations, including experience in managing staff and budgets.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop effective solutions.
