Breast Sonographer PRN

We are seeking a skilled Breast Sonographer PRN to join our team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. As a Breast Sonographer PRN, you will be responsible for performing breast ultrasound studies and ultrasound-guided core biopsies in an outpatient setting, providing exceptional customer service and image quality.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.
- Competently use the GE Logiq E9.
- Familiar with breast ultrasound correlated to mammographic findings and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies.
- Perform DEXA exams.
- Routine cleaning and maintenance of probes according to specifications.
- Comply with quarterly targeted metrics.
- Patient history and retrieve any necessary orders or prior images.
- Provide patient history/signs/symptoms appropriate to the exam to the radiologist.
- Appropriately complete documentation.
- Patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.
- Inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
- Interact and professionally communicate with physicians.
- Maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required as outlined in job qualifications.
- Daily upkeep of departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking, etc.).
- Promote customer service initiatives by adhering to the ICARE values.
- Support and participate in quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.
- Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
- Graduate of accredited RDMS or ARRT program required.
- ARDMS or ARRT (SON) registered or registry eligible. ARRT (R) preferred.
- Current licensure from ARDMS, or ARRT (S), ARDMS registered in breast, or breast eligible. If not board certified in required discipline upon hire, you will attain certification within 12 months of hire.
- 6 months post-graduate experience with breast ultrasound preferred.
- BLS certification required.
