Ultrasound Technologist PRN Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Sonographer PRN is responsible for conducting a range of diagnostic echocardiograms, including standard, exercise-induced, pharmacological stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms.

This role requires a thorough understanding of human growth and development, along with the ability to assess and treat patients across varying age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Demonstrate competency in Bubble Studies and the use of contrast agents.
  • Maintain and clean testing equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Utilize the TD100 automated system for probe cleaning and documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with the digital acquisition and archival systems.
  • Provide clear education to patients regarding the procedures.
  • Perform bedside studies and assist with patient transport when necessary.
  • Participate in the on-call schedule.
  • Support the facility's Standards of Performance and ICARE values.

Requirements:

  • Current registry in Adult Echo (RDMS, RDCS, or RCS), or Registry-Eligible with completion required within 12 months of hire.
  • BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
