Job Summary

Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Methodist Physicians Clinic - Fremont Cardiology and Pulmonology. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses, ensuring delivery of clinically appropriate respiratory care procedures as prescribed by the medical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and complex modalities of respiratory care, demonstrating competency on all therapeutic modalities performed at Methodist Hospital.
  • Document procedures in patient records, updating patient care plans and goals to reflect appropriate patient care needs.
  • Develop, review, and revise plans of care as needed to provide optimum patient care outcomes.
  • Regularly communicate with other patient care team members to exchange information regarding patient condition and progress.
  • Maintain continuity of hospital services, ensuring optimum and timely patient care interventions.
Requirements
  • Associate's of Science Degree with certificate in Respiratory Care required.
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree with a certificate in Respiratory Care preferred.
  • 3-6 months of on-the-job experience to gain knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and routines required.
  • Registered respiratory therapist (RRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 18 months of accepting the Advanced Practitioner position required.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP.NE or RCP.IA) license for work state required.
