Position Title: EHS Manager/Director

Location: Onsite

The EHS Manager is tasked with the ongoing evaluation and enhancement of safety protocols and operational procedures to guarantee a secure and compliant workplace for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

● Implements necessary corrective measures in response to identified health and safety risks.

● Maintains all essential permits for Environmental and Regulatory Compliance.

● Conducts inspections of machinery and equipment to prevent accidents, ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining emergency response and first aid resources.

● Documents and investigates all incidents related to injuries, work-related illnesses, or property damage, collaborating with relevant parties to address corrective actions and achieve loss-reduction objectives.

● Completes all required regulatory reporting obligations (Fire, OSHA, EPA).

● Oversees various safety initiatives, delivers training, and manages documentation, including but not limited to: Area Safety Representatives (ASR), Lockout/Tagout, Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), Evacuation Procedures, PPE, Pedestrian Safety, Ergonomics, Heat Stress, Bloodborne Pathogens.

● Conducts assessments and implements strategies for disseminating information, including advice, signage, barriers, and performance metrics to alert employees to potential safety hazards and restrict access to hazardous areas.

● Assists in the delivery of health and safety training and communication programs (e.g., HAZCOM, HAZMAT, Forklift).

● Recognized as the First Responder for emergency situations on-site.

● May assist in the consolidation and disposal of hazardous materials.

Qualifications and Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree or higher in safety engineering or environmental studies.

● At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in an EHS-related role, ideally with administrative and management duties in a technical manufacturing setting.

● Proven knowledge of best practices and environmental and safety regulations at all government levels, including federal, state, and local.

● Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory standards.

● Extensive experience with various manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.

● Understanding of property insurance, electrical, and fire code requirements.

● Capability to obtain professional certifications in safety, health, or environmental organizations.

● OSHA 30 and CPR/First-Aid Certification.

● Strong sense of accountability, highly motivated, proactive, and forward-thinking.

● Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, strong problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.
