About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team at a school district in Mountain Brook, AL. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing educational support to students with special needs.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in special education, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction and support to students with diverse needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and resource rooms.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and other support staff to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of each student.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure students receive the support they need.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in special education.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
